Hot Chocolate in Asheville

Who has the best in town? Double Decker Coffee Company is pretty darn tasty...

      Hot chocolate is one of those things I always make, because you can't buy it as good: one can sweetened condensed milk mixed with your favorite cocoa powder in a bowl until the milk turns black, just keep stirring it in, you'd be surprised how much you can mix in if you just keep adding and stirring. Once it is more dry than wet, and as dark as you can stand, the put a lid on it and keep it in the refrigerator. When you want hot cocoa, put a good heaping dollop in your mug and add boiling water -- stir. Smooth, rich, creamy, hot, and cheap... just the way I like . .. oh never mind.

        Not Asheville, but the HoCho at Annie's in Sylva is the best I've ever had. I'm ranking it just above City Bakery...the one in Manhattan...because it doesn't turn into icing when it gets cold ;-)

          There's a chocolate shop in Black Mtn that had some awesome hot chocolate samples last year.
