After finding Lucali's closed for renovations, we moved on to Korhogo (the former Bouillabaisse 126). We arrived at about 6:30 and were the only two diners other than someone who was evidently a friend of an employee or the owner. When we left an hour later, no one else had come in. This is a shame because we thought that the food was quite good. And, surprisingly the otherwise empty restaurant did not make for an uncomfortable situation. The music was low; the seating comfortable and the service helpful and attentive while being totally unobtrusive. Our split crab-cake appetizer was all flaked crab-meat and very tasty. Marilyn had the grilled shrimp which were plump, juicy and nicely spiced and I had the lamb shank with a wonderfully spicy beans and zucchini dish. The portions were huge. Nice beer list with Red and Blue Chimay and Duvel in the listing (but not cheap: $10 each for the 12 oz Chimay Bleu). This was our first vista since Neil Kinic's departure and the conversion to West African inspired dishes so we did not quite know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised.
