DeMarco's - worth the walk?

Thinking of walking to DeMarco's for lunch today. has anyone been there recently? Im a big fan of DiFara's and heard mixed reviews of DeMarco's when it first opened. Any feedback would be great!

closed...and i miss it. i really liked their squares and id go after a movie at film forum a lot.

Really? I knew the restaurant closed, but i thought the slices part was open...

the restaurant closed after the shooting but the pizzaria closed just a few weeks ago...trust me, its closed.

Damn. I've always been a supporter. Never up to DiFara's (who is?) but many a drunken night with a slice of round and square. Also was my favorite post-sushi pizza after Ushiwakamaru. I think I'll have to go to Avenue J this weekend.

New tenants, new name, new paint - and Ushiwaka Maru is closed too, at least for the nonce, heavy renovations inside.
