Comments for recipes not posting

jperes167 Nov 1, 2007 10:42 PM

I'm new here, and maybe that explains everything: When I've created Comments for recipes this evening, and hit the Submit button, nothing happens. The comments have not been posted to the recipes. Is it because the recipes are not recently posted recipes?

I'm adding a comment on a recipe, and it did post, but it doesn't show up under my recent posts.

Recent posts are from the Chowhound side only. If you comment on a CHOW story or recipe, it'll appear under 'All activity'

Sorry. I misunderstood the OP, but I am having a problem. I was adding a comment in the Home Cooking board, and it's not showing up on my recent posts. If you're looking for it, it's entitled Cote d'Ivoire tomato sauce. Thanks.

This is a fairly common source of confusion -- recent posts actually includes the 72 most recently created threads you've commented on, rather than the 72 most recent comments you've made. Since that thread is older than the oldest thread currently on your list, it doesn't show up.

Ah! I see. Thanks for the clarification.

That doesn't seem to be just you, as I just went to test it, and I couldn't add any comments, either. I'll add a problem ticket for Engineering to take a look.
