Is there a deal with local restaurants in the East Bay, or something like that? I'm not talking about Gene Burns radio show, but where restaurants offer a special deal. I've been invited to go, but want to know more about program etc. Thanks

Hmmm, are you talking about Dine About Town that usually happens in SF in January?
There are fixed price menus at many of the City's restaurants. Last time it was $35/pp for dinner and $25/pp for lunch. I haven't heard of anything similar in the East Bay.
