Hi. I've been looking high and low, to no avail, for Latin type grocery stores in Mississauga. I'm looking to purchase different chile varieties like ancho, passilla, dried chipotles and the like. I'd really appreciate any help . TIA

SCMN Global Traders carries all those chiles and more. I've seen their products distributed at a hot pepper store in Burlington, at St. Lawrence Market and Perola in Kensington Market. I don't know whether they have a retail outlet, but you could call them to find out if any stores in Mississauga stock their products. The number is 1-888-612-7266.

However, this website http://maingatebusinessforsale.com/ seems to imply their future is uncertain.

The last time I looked, there was one (I forget its name, "Latin" or Latino" something-or-other) on the west side of Hurontario, a block or two above Dundas.

The big NoFrills at Mavis/Eglinton carries a surprising range of items, recent additions being corn husks for tamales and frozen corn tortillas that aren't half bad. I get my chiles from Boncheff on Olivewood just off Kipling but rely mainly on stuff sent by family in Phoenix.

Thanks gnuf, ekammin and Kagemusha for your replies to my search for chiles. I will check out the places that you mentioned and if all else fails I will go to Bloor/Bathurst area and look there. Thanks again for all your help :)
