Pembroke Gardens 'Opening'

L Bright Nov 1, 2007 03:18 PM

Expensive pre-opening literature projected a grand opening Oct. 31. We drove through part of this "outdoor mall" trying to scout of new restaurants like The Pub, Village Tavern and Brimstone Woodfire Grill -- and none of the properties looked as though it would be open for Christmas, let alone Oct. 31. Why is mall management trying to grease the frying pan so early?

As I said earlier in another thread, there was no way this place was opening on 10/31. I too drove by for their "grand opening" and saw that construction on the buildings are far from being done. Most buildings still had wires all over the place, not painted, and didn't have signs up indicating what stores they were. We were unable to find any of these places. There were a few clothing stores that were open. I'd say less than 10% of the stores were open and that was about it.

They opened on 10/31...all it takes is 1 store...with many of the merchants not opening until Spring 2008. It could take a year to be 100% open.
