Antojitos Mexicanos - 2201 W Lincoln Ave (509-248-2626), is just west of N. 1st Ave by about 1.5 miles. Located in the corner of a tiny strip mall, they crank out the tastiest Mexican food we've had in the state. We tried both lunch and dinner here - burrito, tacos (lomo, pollo azada and al carbon), carne al carbon and a rainbow of salsas. GO THERE!

It isn't a fancy place, but nice enough for dinner and CHEAP. Lunch specials were about $5-7 and dinner entrees topped out at around $15. They serve margaritas and cervezas too.

BEWARE - I recommended this place to someone else recently and there is another place in Yakima with a VERY similar name. Make sure you are on Lincoln Ave.

Thank you for this tip. We were in Yakima this week, looking for a good Mexican lunch, found your recommendation of Antijotos Mexicanos, and we loved the place. We had sopitos (little masa rounds fried and topped with meat, lettuce cheese etc) soft tacos and tostadas, all with some of the best lengua we've ever had, served with 6 or 7 little plates of wonderful sauces of varying spice level. Even the rice and beans were outstanding. We will be going back to explore the rest of the menu. Very pleasant place too. SusanC

          Hit up Antojitos this weekend.
LOVED the tortillas (handmade), but the taco fillings weren't great.
Just not very flavorful or rich.

The other stuff looked interesting though.
I'll check it out again with different food items the next time I'm down there.
