Need downtown restaurant with private room for 6

I'm looking for something a little off the beaten path (as in, no Canoe, no Susur) that has fabulous food enough to impress a banking business crowd of 6, in a private room.

Any ideas for something in the downtown core suitable??

    1. Visit the private wine cellar rooms at Chiado and Adega. Great atmosphere for a business dinner. Chiado gets the tip of the hat for the food over Adega, but Adega's location may be more convenient.

Just wanted to follow up and say that we went with Chiado based on this rec, and the group had an amazing meal, with excellent wine and superlative (and humorous) service. Thanks!

Thanks for reporting back! So glad the evening went well!

      2. How about Sopra? They have a gorgeous private room surrounded by wine bottles and a fireplace, and they have fantastic food to boot!

        1. George offers private dining for small groups -

Spendido has a cellar room available for private dining -

(can't link to the established place link for some reason) --

Pangaea -- private dining for a small group

Biagio has a wine cellar room for private dining.

One Restaurant is pretty impressive -- private room for up to 16

Also possibly Quince, Boba, Beer Bistro, Bymark,

            One Restaurant
116 Yorkville Avenue, Toronto, ON M5R 1C2, CA

          2. I've done some really nice dinners at Biagio's in their private cellar room. It holds a max of 14 people I think. Very tempting with all the great wine surrounding you....
Biagio's is King and Jarvis, short walk from the core...

My dad and his friends booked the top floor at Sequel for 6 and had an amazing time. The food was fabulous and the staff were attentive but discreet.
