Foggy Bottom, Infant/Toddler-Friendly?

We'll be staying at the Doubletree Suites in Foggy Bottom this weekend with our toddler (2.5 yrs) and infant (5 mos). I would really appreciate some recommendations on good food that is walkable for us from the hotel and child-friendly, i.e. easygoing, good food, fairly casual.

Thanks in advance.

I like El Chalan. A small Peruvian place. Nothing fancy, but I've been twice and like the food, the prices, etc.. It strikes me as a place that could be child-friendly, but is not necessarily aimed at families.

Just be sure to keep the kiddies away from the frat parties and college craziness. I would head to M street in Georgetown to have a nice time...
