Spaghetti Carbonara in Dallas

Hi Folks,

I have been reading the board for a while but never posted. I was in San Fran last weekend and had some wonderful Spaghetti Carbonara. I realized there arent any places where I order this dish (one of my favorites) in Dallas because I really dont see it on many menu's of Italian places I normally frequent (Taverna, Arcodoro, Patrizios, etc).

Any good recommendations?

I think you can get this at Penne Pomodoro over by SMU. They have a choose your own pasta and sauce option. I am not 100% sure what all goes into a Spaghetti Carbonara, but I know you can order spaghetti noodles in a carbonara sauce

Mercury Grill has a fantastic pearl couscous carbonara as an appetizer on their dinner menu. Not exactly Spaghetti, but very good in my opinion. It's available by request at lunch as well.

I don't have any suggestions for Spaghetti Carbonara since it is something I find easy to make at home but Mercury's pearl couscous carbonara is wonderful and has often prevented me from trying other things that interest me because I can't resist ordering it. It used to be on the menu as an entree and I would often ask for an appetizer portion - now it is on the menu as an appetizer and I've sometimes asked for it as an entree. They are always gracious and happy to accomodate requests.
