I start the Master Cleanse tommorrow so I decided to treat myself to a bar of chocolate for lunch on my last day of food.
I was at my local natural grocer perusing the chocolate section. This, sadly haha, is one of my favorite things to do as they have the most AMAZING selection of fair-trade and organic chocolate in the most interesting flavors in town.
Anyhow, today a new bar caught my eye. It is the Milk Chocolate Coconut Curry bar in the 3400 Phinney line who also produce the Theo bars. I was a tad apprehensive, milk chocolate and yellow curry spices? Hmm. But I decided to give it a go. I must tell you, I am happy I did as it is one of the BEST bars of chocolate I have ever had, and this is coming from a girl who typically only goes for dark chocolate!
The curry flavor is very strong which is nice because I've found that typically in the more unusually flavored bars the unusual ingredient, bacon, salt, etc., is a little too mild. It has a nice touch of heat at the end and I really enjoy the texture, the spices being intact and embedded in the bar. The wrapper is also very attractive and it is fair trade and organic to boot! Typically, a 2oz. bar is two snacks for me, but I actually ate the whole thing at one go. This bar is not for the faint of heart, but if you are a curry and chocolate lover you should definitely check it out.
Oh, and I am in no way affiliated with the company, I just dig great chocolate.

I am glad you posted about these chocolate bars because I forgot to. I think you choose the right flavor because the curry one is what hooked me to explore their other offerings.

Your description is spot on - so I will just say I aggree 100%.

However - steer clear of the their spin off of french Pain au chocolat - which just tasted of interspersed dried breadcrumbs in dark chocolate.

I, on the other hand, thought that Theo's bars were very disappointng. The curry coconut had a harsh flavor and I didn't like the tiny dry coconut flakes. I much prefer Vosges' version (though I don't like their truffles at all). The bread bar was ok -- not really offensive, but fairly boring after all the raves I heard.
