MSP - Ketsana to become Naviya's Thai Kitchen

Or so the banner outside said. I hope it's as good at Ketsana was at their best. I miss their curry duck.

I'll watch for the opening.

not as good, but only 1.5 times the price. adequate curry meals but $10 a pop. they do have a lunch special where the app is free with an order of a main. if you split the meal with someone that's not too bad a deal. but i'm with you - i miss ketsana's, too.

Isn't that what is currently on 64th & Penn in Richfield? .. wonder what'll be there next. I don't miss Ketsana's, I miss Phuket Thai more (what was now Naviya's - which I heard specializes in curry - so you may be in luck Loren. I dislike curry, so I haven't been inside yet).

Sadly, I never made it to Ketsana, but I hope that Naviya's will up their game from what it was in Grand Marais. I'd be interested to know the details of their business up there--we went a few times as they were one of about three restaurants serving dinner past 9 p.m. My first try was pretty good--some take-out pad thai that wasn't too sweet, which won me over a bit. On a subsequent visit a few months later, we went in at about 8 p.m., and they had stopped serving the regular menu and were just doing a buffet. Pretty bad--just salty and gooey. I wondered if it was a result of being well "up north" that there was no heat factor whatsoever, and a lot of the dishes recalled Americanized Chinese.

Maybe they'll feel more comfortable being more authentic in the TC area.

Are you saying you went to the one in Grand Marais? There's one right now on 64th & Penn in Richfield, probably a mile and a half from Ketsana's old location..
