Years ago, Wolferman's (Kansas City) used to sell what it called egg rolls. These were not the Chinese variety but rather a soft, eggy, somewhat sweet, soft yeast roll that was traditionally served with ham. They were heavenly. The current Wolferman's web site doesn't recognize them. Does anyone out there remember them and do you have a receipe?

I'm wondering if they might be something like the German dampfnudeln. They are an eggy yeast roll that is steamed and is slightly sweet. They are amazing and simple to make. Here's a link: http://www.sheries-kitchen.com/recipes/german/dampfnudeln.htm

Try contacting Wolferman's via email. They may not make them anymore, but they may be able to point you in the right direction
