Nipa Thai Restaurant, London

what a pleasant surprise. this restaurant has been on my to-try list for a while now; skiving off work today - its waaaay to sunny to work - we went for lunch to nipa, which is a hotel restaurant at royal lancaster hotel.

we were treated to bright, fresh, clean flavours as the sun shone in through the huge window overlooking hyde park. pure bliss.

the menu here feels as if its the thai equivalent of the bombay brasserie. everything we ordered was deftly put together and miles away from the regular london thai experience. perhaps its a quid or two more expensive, but sheesh is it ever worth it, if just for the steamed asparagus and bean curd dish that was easily my favourite.

  1. Whooeee... and what a lovely website they have. This looks like my kind of place - thanks for the tip. This looks definitely equal to my favorite Thai which was in California. It surpassed anywhere I've ever been since.
