Dinner in Ft. L.
Chicago hound wants fine dining for two nights separated by a cruise. Cost no object. Don't want to hear about Cheesecake Factory or any other chains including Shula's. Dinner in a Mall...fuhgedit! Looking for Contemp. American or French. Excellent service, excellent wine list required. For those of you familiar with North Pond Cafe/Alinea here in Chitown, a place comparable to them would be perfect. Thanks so much!

Try Cero at the new St. Regis on Fort Lauderdale beach. It is superb and beautiful. Service is excellent...I don't know about Chicago, but very much up to fine NY restaurant standards.

Interesting call on Fish. I've avoided that place because of poor reviews and word of mouth. (poor is being kind)
I would also recommend Cero. Had an excellent meal there recently and going back again soon.
I agree with Johnny V's. One of my favorites in Ft. Lauderdale.
I would also recommend 3030 Ocean if you are looking for seafood.
