Kristian's in South Philly?

A friend was recently raving about this place and I was wondering if any Chowhounds know of and like it. Is it one of those under-the-radar gems, or just another mediocre italian joint?

  1. It's been a long time since I've been there but I remember it being very good.

Oh, Kristian's! Like AZgirl (I am, too!) - it's been a while but it was quite good!

        Philly transplant to Arizona??

    2. it is good not great, more expensive than most in the area, and has valet parking. I enjoyed the osso bucco.

      1. Kristian's is very good. As brightman mentioned, it is a little more expensive than some of the other italian restaurants in the area with entrees starting in the $20s, but the food is very good. I went there about a year ago and we had linguine bolognes and veal milanese and both dishes were excellent.
