One place I quite like in Columbia is Yo Burrito. Nothing fancy, no real vibe of which to speak, just good burritos.

Third the Motor Supply recommendation. I'd also suggest Mr. Friendly's for new Southern.

Liberty Tap Room has decent food (nice choice of steaks) and plenty of vibe, though the service has been spotty. SakiTumi also has plenty of vibe and fusion sushi. The food at Liberty and SakiTumi is probably a step down from Motor Supply and Mr. Friendly's.

For something a little more exotic, check out the white linen Thai at Baan Sawan.

The Motor Supply rec is a good one. It's not a big room and fills up fast. I suggest a reservation. They use Open Table. It's right in the middle of the lively Vista neighborhood so you will have plenty of options for after dinner. Also I hear Doc's Gumbo Grille will have plenty of Gator tail available. ;^ )

You're too funny. I vote for Motor Supply. You boys will have fun. Three might an issue for a reserv. Call and ask.

I would heartily reccomend Motor Supply Company in the Vista. They do american modern with flair and good service at very reasonalble prices. I've been visiting Columbia for about 10 years now and year in and out, it's clearly the best.
