Chopped Liver...

I'm in the market for some good chopped liver. I recently moved to Bensonhurst and to satisfy my craving, I got some chopped liver at Shoprite. For that reason, I hope someone can suggest a better place to go. A place in Brooklyn would be great, but I work in Manhattan so I could go that route as well.

If you want to eat it out, Barney Greengrass or Sammy Rumanian

Believe it or not, Barney Greengrass makes ambrosial CL.

Ironically, most of the CL that I have found for sale out side Manhattan is made in Brooklyn by a commercial supplier.

Sammy's Roumanian on Chrystie makes the best CL I've ever had - they make it right in front of you, with freshly fried onions and chicken fat. It's outstanding.

I went to Sammy's a few nights ago. The chopped liver was excellent.
