    topsecretrecipes.com had the benihana ginger dressing. i linked it to my brother years ago and he says it's great - and pretty exact if that's what you like. you have to buy it there now, but i'll see if i can get it back from him if you're interested.

      The distinctive flavor you are probably looking for comes from mirin. Look for recipes containing it.

        You might try this Miso Vinaigrette from epicurious..uses fresh ginger and I always add extra to it. It's easy and excellent:
