Scottsdale/Phoenix anniversary trip in November
My husband and I are spending a week in Scottsdale for our 10 year anniversary. There's great info on several threads for nicer restaurants in the area but am also curious about the more casual, low key places (late lunch, casual dinner). Thanks!

If it's your 10 year anniversary and you have a car I'd highly recommend setting one night aside and having dinner at Binkley's.
It's somewhat of a haul up in Cave Creek but it's totally worth it - trust me.

Chiming in, I would offer up (and second, in some cases):
Terroir Wine Pub
Postino Wine Cafe, La Grande Orange (and adjacent pizzeria and gelato place)
Delux
The Breakfast Club
Roaring Fork for happy hour
La Fonda for casual Mexican (S. Scottsdale)
Tradiciones
Barrio Cafe (dinner, but fairly casual)
Mariscos Playa Hermosa (amazing Mex seafood, in my opinion)
El Nopalito for street tacos and casual Mexican for lunch
Z Tejas or Old Town Tortilla Factory (for chips & salsa and margaritas ONLY)
Wildfish for happy hour if in mall area (sit in bar area)There are many more, so please specify if seeking some type of food or atmosphere in particular so we can add more or narrow down options. Have a great trip.

Tradiciones and the attached Phoenix Ranch Market are a must for all visitors and would fit your requirements perfectly. The La Parillada grilled meat feast will blow away anybody, and the margaritas (or horchata and other agua frescas) are excellent. Plus, the experience of the place is very unique.
Delux serves the best burger I have ever had. Their Delux Burger cooked medium rare with mixed regular and sweet potato fries is near perfection. They are in Phoenix and worth the short drive from Scottsdale.
