What is the best room at Tavern on the Green?

As a wedding gift, my husband and I were given a gift certificate for Tavern on the Green, We are leaving New York soon and would like to have a dinner there to say good by to the city.We would like to go during the month of December or January as our daughter will be in from college and will join us. None of us has been there before and I would appreciate your opinions as to which room we should book. As always, thank you for your help.

The Crystal Room and the Crystal Pavilion are beautiful, the Holiday decorations are gorgeous. When you make your reservation, ask which room has the decorated trees in them. Enjoy

Use the gift certificate for drinks and go somewhere else for dinner.

That's an excellent suggestion. There are better and more romantic dinners to be had.

Would be hard pressed to drink up a few hundred dollars worth. trying to make the best of it room recommendations still appreciated.

that said, definately have a drink up at the bar before or after you eat. they make'm well and its charming up in there too.
