Great frozen yogurt in N. Scottsdale!

Hey gang,

I've heard enough from friends in California about Pinkberry that I wanted to add my two cents about a place I just checked out on Friday night called Ice Tango. It just opened in North Scottsdale (Target/Albertson's shopping plaza on Frank Lloyd Wright and the 101).

They have a couple of fruit flavors, but the best is the basic (called "twangy")--very sour yogurt flavor. The guy said it was pretty much the same as the Pinkberry and Red Mango frozen yogurt places. I tried it with pomegranate seeds. Really addictive (guess that's why they call Pinkberry, Crackberry!). The place also serves crepes and is about to serve frozen custard as well.

It will be interesting to hear a comparison from anyone who visits and has had the infamous Pinkberry in LA.

  1. I've been to Pinkberry and Kiwiberry in LA and thought that Ice Tango was very comparable. I tried the twangy and pomegranate yogurts. Twangy is pretty much identical to Pinkberry's "plain". One thing that wasn't as good was the mochi topping (rice cake). It was a bit dry and hardened on the outside. Just my guess, but I think many people in the area might not know what mochi is...leading to low turnover.
