Ribs 'N' Things, Hayward - been in business 30yrs, any reports?

  • 3

I heard a mention of this place on Bart tonight. The girl was saying how the ribs were really good. They are also located at the McAfee Oakland Coliseum at section 125 for Warrior games, section 132 for Raider games, and section 132 for Oakland A's baseball.

Anyone try their food? Ribs, fried chicken, sausage, etc.

Website & they have a 10% off coupon from their website:

  1. This is a very old thread, and it seems to have received no responses, but I thought I would resurrect it because I just stopped in to Ribs-n-Things for lunch. It's in a neighborhood I go to occasionally, in a strip mall next to the Grocery Outlet on East B Street, so I finally tried it.

All I have had is the tri-tip sandwich lunch special with a side of potato salad. The BBQ sauce is texas style, I was told. I liked it and would get it again. The potato salad was the soft, gooey type usually found in such places — nothing special.

Ambiance is nothing special — this is in an old, small strip mall off the beaten path, about a mile east of the B street core of downtown Hayward which is a livelier district and which has some more upscale places (one, anyway). Not what I would call a "destination" place, but if you are in the area and have a hankering for some Texas barbecue, it's worth seeking out.

Just a couple blocks from Val's Burgers.

Plus I do like the Grocery Outlet in that old funky small
      mall.
