GF and I tried Beijing today, its the new korean-chinese place on 33rd st (bet 5th and bway). Overall, it was weak, I'd definately going to Hyo Dong Gak or Shanghai Mong (I like HDG better than SM btw) over going to Beijing. It took over the old space that used to be Yang Pyung Seoul (angry that place is gone b/c they had good hae jang guk). We got the following:

- ja jang myun (noodles in brown sauce) - very weak, noodles were like boiled spaghetti and the sauce was supposed to be spicy (we got the spicy kind) and it wasn't spicy at all and it was kind of weak in flavor
- tang soo yook (sweet and sour beef) - this was the best dish, but was just decent. The beef itself was fine (crispy and generally good tasting), but the sauce was a bit on the sweet side for my taste
- jjampong (spicy seafood soup) - same issue with the noodles as the ja jang myun, the soup base was alright although a bit salty, the vegetables were horrible (definately canned vegetable) and the seafood was okay (i did like that they put scallops in it)

Again, it was pretty weak overall and I doubt i'd go back.
