Local Food Blogs [moved from Quebec board]

What with Susan Semenak's 'article' on local food blogs in today's Gazette, I was wondering if anyone had a preference, or preferences, and which were the ones that she missed?

  1. Thanks for pointing this out. I don't get the Gazette, so I just read it online:

Nice to see Chowhound regular swissfoodie featured.

The other semi-local food blog I like - being breakfast obsessed - is Breakfast Blogger: http://www.breakfastblogger.com - which also covers other areas, including Ottawa.

    1. I am OBSESSED with ...an endless banquet. They make great preserves too; I bought their grapefruit and ginger pear jams when they were at the Souk @SAT last year, and their oignon confit is on sale at La Depense in Jean-Talon.

      1. I thought it was a pretty decent article, considering. However, I'm surprised no one has mentioned MontrealFoodie (http://montrealfoodie.squarespace.com/), which is one of my regular reads. I believe it's also written by one of our fellow 'hounders.

        1. Under the high chair (http://underthehighchair.blogspot.com/), written by a member of Philippe de Vienne's former catering team, was prominently featured in a prior cupcake article which might account for the omission. It's my absolute favourite Montreal food blog these days. I used to really enjoy an endless banquet, but lately I tend to skim their posts as they are getting more scarce but much longer.
