Newport RI lunch help please

My husband and I will be in Newport tomorrow for a day trip and are looking for a place for a relaxing and good lunch with good wines by the glass. Looking at recent posts, it seems that the Mooring is getting panned. Not sure if Black Pearl is open for lunch. Have been to Spiced Pear before and enjoyed it but not sure if it is the vibe we want. Any last minute suggestions to help us out?
