Going out with some friends and we're debating between trying Kumo or the new Katsuya in Hollywood. I've eaten at the Katsuya in Brentwood and loved the food and atmosphere. I've also tried Hakusama and really liked the food so I think both will be great. Just don't know which one to decide between. Has anyone gone to either?

I've gone to both and would encourage you to try Kumo. They have many of the Katsuya favorites (crispy rice spicy tuna and baked crab hand roll)...I just liked the food and the service over Katsuya..which was kind of cheesy...I feel I have to warn you that both places are very expensive...I went with a group of girls and the food and booze was around $100 a person at both places. (drinks are very pricey)
