I'm curious how many Chowhounders out there visit Tastespotting.com on a regular basis. Do you submit your photos to Tastespotting too?

I agree that Food Gawker has done a great job trying to replace Tastespottting.

Tastespotting was truly unique!

Altho not anywhere near an ideal replacement...and if you enjoyed the visual dynamic of TS, this is a sad substitute BUT...http://www.foodblogsearch.com/ will get you to interesting food blogs. I entered "egg" into the engine and picked out a dozen blogs I'll read all week.

Tastespotting.com is gone -- "due to legal complications," according to the site.

This is a major bummer. I went on that site every day. Does anyone have updates on whether it'll be relaunched, perhaps by another company?

Serious Eats has a commentary going on TS.
You'll read there that a blog called Recipes2share has offered to start up a version of food blog sharing..

Personally, I'd like to give it a week or two to see what happens next. I haven't read an official explanation; only blog fan speculation. I enjoyed the blog myself..read it nearly daily...but will await word from TS folks before bummin too much.

recipes2share is my site, & yes I have offered this food blog sharing as it fits with the site's mission of sharing, I already had an in-site gallery running & I loved Tastespotting. Its early days but I've had some great feedback and some great photo submissions.

used to love this site...but it looks like it went down!!! .. any idea why?

I check it out daily. Lately, it's been overrun by a very few bloggers who are posting there at a rapid pace...but overall I like it for a great snapshot look at food blogs and photography.
