I'm craving oysters but I've never had them in westchester/fc...where should I go?

(fyi I used to live around the corner from aquagrill so my standards are pretty high)

  1. The restaurant owned by MacMenamin's Grill in Larchmont. Before it closed.

MacMenamin's Grill in New Rochelle. But not for brunch, since they don't replace the oysters or clams after the first offering.

    Gus's perhaps, in Harrison?

Other than that, I guess the Elm Street Oyster House in Greenwich -- but bring your bank book.

Underhills Crossing in Bronxville. Beautiful, upscale place, great food. Oysters are a specialty. Depending on the season, they have a large and varied selection. Here's the list of all the oysters:

Wow. Not sure where I've been since Underhills Crossing has no doubt been mentioned here before.

It looks nice, it has wine, and it has Malpeques. That's all I need. Thank you menton1.

Yes, Malpeques are my favorite too. Please report back here on your experience when you go. I love the place.

Finally got there. I've had larger oysters, but they very good. As was the rest of the meal, the company, and the server Christine was outstanding.

Verrrry pricey, but enjoyable. And the parking was after hours and free.

I second Underhill's not only are the Oyster's very fresh, but pretty much everything I've ever had here has been wonderful!

went to elm street last week, very good not great at $5/course overpriced.

if you can go further east SONO has Ocean Drive. All oysters will be several dollars per at any of these places. and jfood would never say no to ocean 211.

Ruby's oyster bar in Rye and Elm St. in Greenwich. The freshest anywhere around here.

        3. In Northern West. Ocean House in Croton-on-Hudson has great oysters Wide selection from both East and West coasts, some not-often-seen oysters, as well. And always fresh and high quality.
