In Pasadena there's Radhika
and you can probably go Thai ... Saladang Song has a nice outdoor seating area (they have 2 restaurants right next to each other and I don't remember which has which name exactly).

What kinda place where you thinking of casual or formal? If you are looking for very casual eats, I would reccommend Fred 62 in Los Feliz. It's a trendy diner though.
