What items are good to order?

    Very good brunch.

We had, and enjoyed, the ricotta fritters, the huevos rancheros and the kobe beef sliders.

Just went, and still love it. Standouts:

Chicken apple sausage (this was RIDICULOUSLY good)
      Kobe sliders
      Red snapper tacos
      Salmon benedict

We went for brunch this afternoon. Dropped in, the main room was full, so we ate at the upstairs bar instead, which turned out to be a great idea as it was uncrowded, bright, and airy.

Got the LES Bloody Mary: fine, nothing special.

We had the lobster benedict which I thought was very hard to eat: the portion was just too big to eat in a single mouthful, but when split was awkward. The biscuit was very hard to cut into, the lobster was rubbery, and the asparagus stalk was too thick in proportion to the biscuit. Eh.

Next we had the donuts with caramel sauce. They were dusted with cinnamon and sugar. I found the donuts good but not as good as other donuts I've had. Could have been a little lighter and fluffier.

They were out of the lemon blackberry pancakes so we had the buttermilk pancakes instead. The maple syrup was quite good and of a good quality. There were 5 silver dollar pancakes to an order, and they were nicely executed. Thumbs up.

A side of bacon turned out to be a large portion. I think I must have counted 8 bacon strips on the plate. They were nice and fatty but a little too smoky for my taste.

We were still hungry and ordered the brie and apple quesadilla with mustard-maple syrup and bacon bits. This was probably the best thing that I had. Brie and apple is always a winning combination. The tortillas were nicely browned, and the bacon bits were a nice touch. I would definitely get these again.

I liked but did not love brunch here. I didn't feel like I had a standout item until the very end, and we only ordered the quesadilla because I was still hungry.

The bill came out to a little over $65 including tip, which is just more than I'm used to paying for brunch for two. That would be my only hesitation in going back, as I saw a bunch of other things I'd liked to have tried.

Are the plates at Stanton's brunch that small that it takes 4-5 to satisfy 2 people? Is it kind of like a brunch tapas arrangement?

Fabulous place for brunch. Trendy atmosphere, friendly service and good food. All are small portions meant for sharing - sort of breakfast tapas. The donuts were fantastic! So were the pancakes. Definitely give this place a try.

Thanks! Also, how many dishes should we order for 2 people?

Two each is a good amount, unless one of them is a slider. Then you should get two and the slider, since there's only one of the latter in an order.

Just had brunch there last weekend and it is now one of my favorite brunch spots. Loved the brie and apple quesadilla (peach wasn't on the menu when I went), breakfast bruschetta, Kobe beef slider, French onion soup dumplings and lobster benedict. The vanilla bean pancakes were okay, nothing special, and I didn't like the meatballs with ricotta manicotti.

Seriously awesome brunch...I've yet to have anything that I haven't loved. But the standouts for me are really the huevos rancheros and the vanilla-bean pancakes.

Damn, they make a great brunch...my faves:

                    brie cheese and peach quesadilla
                    donuts
                    bruschetta
                    lobster benedict
                    biscuit & gravy slider
                    huevos rancheros
