Looking for dinner idea for anniversary

Dear all,

I am looking for some restaurant ideas for an anniversary for a friend. Last year my friend took his wife to Harbour Sixty and she loved it. They are both red meat eater, anything like Prime Rib or Steak will be great. Looking for something fancy (Harbour Sixty or better). Thank you in advance.

  1. Scaramouche - romantic, excellent service, stunning room and most importantly: delicious food! Oh, and options that go beyond just steak.

I did a recent review of Scaramouche - you can find it on this board.

Also - Susur. Never fails to impress. (Or for some on this board, cause controversy - which is always fun)

I agree with Yum on Susur (haven't been to Scaramouche) for an excellent eating experience. But if these are steakhouse people...

I kinda can't believe I'm going to suggest this, because my last visit was such a disappoint (you can find my review)... but The Fifth is just such a gorgeous room, and they are now working with a steakhousey grill menu.

H60 is my favourite steakhouse - I don't think you can do better in Toronto, if that's the meal you want (love the banana cream pie, fantastic seafood... and I'm, a part-time New Englander!). But The Fifth is beautiful and romantique, while so many other steakhouses feel like boy's clubs...

Thanks guys. I checked out the website for Scaramouche, looks promising. And I have always heard good things about Susur. For some reasons I can't find any information on The Fifth.

And what about steak houses that are less romantic? I wanna give my friend some options (rather he wants more meat or fancy meal).

        Thanks for all your input.

it's on Brant street. don't know much about it, just heard/read about it somewhere.

Thanks, guess I will cross that one off the list.
