I was there about a month and a half ago and was sort underwhelmed. I only had two appetizers but really, that's all I needed. I had the scallop benedict - two scallop halves sauteed and placed on potato cakes with quail egg, spinach, and lobster hollandaise ( I believe ). Not bad but the potato cakes were waaaay too big and overpowered all the other delicate flavors. I also had the rock-seared shrimp. They bring you two volcano rocks that are superheated, they place two skewers of shrimp ( and forewarned - the shrimp are small. Not quite rock shrimp, but you get the drift ... ) on the rocks, pour a soy-wasabi sauce over them, and the shrimp cooks on the rocks. Nice gimmick but it's just that - a gimmick.
I've mentioned before about the "shave your own salt" at the table - where they bring a block of that salt that they put in everything and even built the restaurant with. They put it in front of you with some sort of shaver and that's how you season your food if need be. All I can ever think about on that issue is who had the salt block before me and whose hands have been all over it. Ick!
In short - I'm not itching to go back.
I was there with my girlfriend a bit ago and we both hated it. Too loud, too overpriced and poor service. Food was not cooked to order and was at best, ok. Ill never go back and most places I give 2 chances. Not here. There are too many great places in vegas. This place isnt even good.
I went last July and was not impressed. I liked some of the ideas, but the execution left a lot to be desired. Started with the warm caesar salad. It was overdressed and turned into a soggy mess after a few minutes. I then had the crab cakes which were coated with pretzels. Again, great idea, but didn't quite come off.
