    Fraiche in Culver City. Not super romantic, but great space, great food, nice walking around after.

      Probably need a bit more info to really help you out. "Southern CA" is huge, so where exactly are you looking into? what's your budget? type of food? etc??

        Well really anywhere in southern CA, I know its so big but if the place is good its worth the drive, there is no budget, Type of food could be Italian or Japanese. Im sure this does not really narrow it down much, but Im pretty much open to any suggestions. I want this to be a unique romantic experience. Maybe a nice view would be nice. Thanks for your help.

        Two of the most romantic places I've been to are The Little Door and Saddle Peak Lodge. Romantic in very different ways, but both unforgettable experiences.

          My suggestion is Parkway Grill www.theparkwaygrill.com in Pasadena. They have great food, wonderful service and with proper seating can be quite romantic.

            there are plenty :)

            for great view go to Geoffrey's at Malibu. Although the best view is when you sit outside so keep that in mind if it's getting chilly. Otherwise for ocean view from indoors The Penthouse at the Huntley hotel in Santa Monica.
            For no view but awesome food and nice ambiance there's Providence (on Melrose).

            For unique, try La Fondue in San Juan Capistrano for the best fondue I've ever had. The place also has very unique decor :) (you can go to my blog if you want to read more or see pics for the last 2 suggestions: www.gourmetpigs.blogspot.com

            )

            I've heard good things about saddle peak lodge but never been myself.
            For Japanese with nice view there's Yamashiro, but food I heard is so so. Oh there's Thousand Cranes at the New Otani hotel in little tokyo which is supposed to be good and have good views (never been though, sorry).

              The Penthouse Restaurant at The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica has one of the most amazing views of the Santa Monica Coastline. Check out the website. Very Romantic.

                The view is wonderful. Unfortunately, the food is disappointing (and overpriced). It's the perfect spot for pre-dinner cocktails.
