I found a new item at the store about 4 months ago. It was Mezzetta (Napa Valley Bistro) garlic stuffed olives, with fresh olives, marinated in herbs and Napa Valley Chardonnay. The sodium is less than most other olives, and the are the best thing ever, if you go for that. Forget the garlic breath - they are fantastic. Anyone else found this hidden treasure? If you like olives you should give them a try.

My small grocery store (part of a small chain in this part of northwestern Iowa) has these in their store brand. Big fat green things with garlic in them. I love them. I take them and slice them and put them on pizza, garlic and all.

No, your store brand is just garlic and olives, I'll bet. These have a wonderful mix of herbs and wine in the bottle that is so delicious you practically want to drink it! I like to get my little pickle fork and run it around until I get a good dose of herbs on the olive, and then eat it! I even go to the extreme of putting black olives in the juice after the garlic ones are gone. They don't pick up much of the flavor but the herbs are still there!

Nope.. Garlic stuffed olives with Chardonnay and herb marinade. There's a ton of herbs in the jar.

Store brand is $6 a jar. I hate to think what other brands go for.

Wow...I'llhave to shop where you shop.

I live in a town of 2300, and we have one grocery store. When you're the only game in town, you can charge whatever you want. EVERYTHING's more expensive here. I thought I'd save a ton of money moving here from Portland. Granted, I pay a great deal less for housing, but food costs about the same.

They have the garlic stuffed olives on the antipasto bar in my Whole Foods. I agree. They are addictive.

I've had blue cheese, and onion, and garlic and almond and all the usual in my martini's. I think for me, chili and garlic marinated ones anre pretty good, as you get a kick out of them.
