I like the food, but the attitude of the place can be off putting. Also there is the issue of the communal table. If you are a walk in, then count rubbing elbows with strangers. In my opinion a cut above the typical east village restaurant.
The food is on the whole quite good. We used to eat there regularly but it's gone downhill of late, at least as far as the service and general vibe go. If you can put up with spotty service, it's worth a shot. Ask for a table upstairs.
