Please help - need restaurant between Boston and Cape Cod

I just got a call from one of my out-of-town friends I haven't seen a couple of years and she is in Cape Cod (South Orleans, MA). So we want to meet up somewhere in the middle this friday night.

Any suggestions on town (has to be close to highway) or even town to meet??

I would appreciate any advice.

On Rte 3a in Kingston -- less than 1.5 miles from Rte 3 (exit 9, I think) is the best place we've found between the Cape and Boston -- Solstice. Found it on Chowhound, and we've gone back a few times in the past 2 years. Consistently excellent food. Duck was very nicely done. Everyone at our last dinner there (4 people) enjoyed every course. Staff can be a bit pretentious (I'm really thinking of just 1 waiter), but the vibe is generally professional + welcoming.

Friday is the day to go there. No reservations on Saturdays, and they won't put you on the waiting list if you call from the road -- a bit annoying if you are travelling a long distance for dinner.

You might also consider Bella's, an Italian place in Rockland. It's close by Exit 14 off of Route 3.

You might enjoy Jake's Seafood in Hull. Very easy to reach off Route 3. I have a friend who lives in Jamaica (Mass, not the country) and when I'm on the Cape, we meet there. It's got a nice view and I love the wait staff.

As long a we're in Hull, Bridgeman's dishes up worthy Italian eats. Some also like Saporito's, but I'm much less a fan.

If it's for breakfast, there's Percy's right off 495 and 44in Middleboro. Hingham has some spots too that might be half-way if you're taking Route 3 there.

It has been a couple of years, but we stopped in Middleboro at Fireside Grille and had a decent meal.

I think reviews are all over the place for it, but our meal was fine.

Had a very mediocre lunch at the Fireside Grill. I then saw Percy's and thought that that (or anything) would have been better. Any thoughts on Percy's?
