What brand of walnut oil should I buy?

My best friend just entered med school and she is a shameless foodie. Unfortunately, because she will be in debt for the next 10 years from school, she cant buy the best food stuff anymore. So, for her b-day, I'm getting her a package of things that she won't be able to buy for awhile: some black truffles, a little package of fluer de sel and a bottle of nice walnut oil. I'm set for the truffles and fleur de sel, but I don't know much about walnut oil. Does anyone have any brand suggestions? Thanks!

Often Marshalls or TJMaxx carry Le Moulin de Marie walnut oils. I like it and use their other oils as well. Check it out and also tell your friend she can find lots of gourmet goodies there for up to half off their regular price.

I would only buy fresh oil-sometimes Marshall type places carry closeout type items. I only buy oils that show a readable expiration date. You don't want to use rancid oils.

These oils are sealed in airproof tins and I've never encountered a rancid one. And of course you should always check for an expiration date, whether at a high end retailer or at TJs.
