Lunch with big brother

bosun Oct 24, 2007 07:37 AM

My brother wants to go to lunch in the 20's or teens on the WS. He said BBQ, sushi, or pub. I was thinking R.U.B., but that seems heavy for lunch. Any other good suggestions? I am assuming this will be on his dime, but nothing over 30pp just in case.

I don't think RUB would be too heavy and it's awesome! But if you're looking for something else the Half King on 23rd & 10 th has a pretty good buger and pub food.

If you stick with BBQ, I'd actually recommend Hill Country over RUB. Don't get me wrong, RUB is great but Hill Country has the food going for it plus better atmosphere.

I've heard good things about Hill Country. It will have to be next time, though. We went to Markt. He had beef stew, which I considered to be perfection. I had the lobster bisque (again, perfection) and a shrimp salad. The waiter was fantastic, although, he did mess up my order. I had wanted the shrimp salad made with mayo on a baguette, but got the shrimp salad with greens and pine nuts. It looked and tasted so good that I had no reason to complain. The beer list was also a treat!

Markt is one of my all time favorites!! Can't believe I forgot about it! Glad you enjoyed though!

            I totally disagree.
