re: guttergourmet
Just got back from DiPalo's! They were sold out of the burrata they import from Puglia every Saturday so I bought a ball of their house-made burrata ($5.99) and a jar of pesto. Then I ran the six blocks home in the rain, up five exhausting flights of stairs, toasted slices of ciabatta from Zaro's, and made a super duper dinner with the ciabatta, sliced heirloom tomatoes from today's Greenmarket, the pesto and burrrrrrrraaata! Oh, sooo delicious! :)

Murray's Cheese on Bleecker has it in the store about half the time- I shop there several times per week. I would say they get one shipment per week, which lasts two or three days.

We buy them at the exact same places that tbear posted above - Ideal on 1st Ave and at Murrays in Grand Central Market. They're usually freshly flown in from Italy.

re: Stuffed Monkey
It is indeed a regular feature at the Italian shop in Chelsea Market. However, it is called Buon Italia.
I've also bought it at DiPalo, and have watched it made fresh from curds at Agata & Valentina.
