Any reviews of Adesso on Broadway?

I keep coming across this restaurant, but have heard very little about it. I checked out the menu on menupages.com and it looks promising. Has anyone eaten there? Is it still BYOB?

I have been and hated it. The pasta was full of watery sauce, the mussels tasted fishy and really nasty. A burger ordered there was very overdone and the service was lax and didn't care about any of these complaints. It is in my neighborhood, and I understand from others that they are hit or miss, but when somebody mises that bad, I choose to never go back.

Yikes. It's hard to ignore a review like that. I was a little bit leery since I haven't heard much about it. Maybe we'll take a pass. Thanks for the responses!

I've been there. It is a good neighborhood place but nothing spectacular. They used to not take reservations, but now they do, though aren't great about honoring it. I do not think they are BYOB anymore, but could be wrong.

My take is that this part of town has very little in terms of great food. Adesso is one of the few that makes good attempts at bringing something a little more modern to the neighborhood and for that I applaud them. But when it comes down to it, it is just fair to decent Italian food.

I've heard really good things about it, but I can't give you any more info than that. I heard it is BYOB as of a few weeks ago, not sure if that's still true.
