I have read many reviews about this place. I know Mbfants view - hope it may have changed.
Otherwise has anyone been there lately? If so - how was it. What do you suggest to eat?
I hope feedback is good. I think the place looks great.
So...We just got back. This was one of the places we decided on.
WAS AWESOME. Great menu. we were not looking for fancy - just good food. We wanted an Italian meal in Italy.
Vegetable fritti appetizer with eggplant parmesan and penne arrabiata for main dishes.
Service was great, they were so nice. Food was GREAT. Two bottles of wine (about 14 euro ea) were wonderful.
Total bill was only about 70 euro. Not bad. We were VERY happy with this choice.
It might help to have a look the their web site: www.matricianella.it
I do personally like this place but I must confess that it was even better after the new management took over about 10-11 years ago.
Now they are quite famous, more expensive and they do have their own "afecionados" clients to look after. Service can be very slow and not well organised especially during busy hours (Saturday night it is crasy!!).
Good wine list with several wines served by the glass and selection of cheese. Good part of the menu is based on local recipes. Its nice to dine outside during the good season.
