rss feeds

I am pretty sure it must be possible, but I don't see how to generate an RSS feed (or any other kind of feed, really) from a search term, or for a specific board. Can anyone help me?

I don't believe you can for a search term, but to get a feed for a specific board, use the RSS button that's immediately to the right of the title of the board on the board index. Alternately, go to the board index and add /rss to the end of the URL to get the feed page.

Gotcha. I think search terms would be more useful (didn't realize there was a CMS out there that DIDN'T support search > rss). I can build one myself by funneling a yahoo search of the site into an rss feed. Thanks for the info.

The software for Chowhound is all custom built, so it doesn't have a lot of the bells and whistles considered standard in other packages.

I understand but I wouldn't call an RSS feed a bell or whistle, it's pretty much standard operating procedure when more than 50% of site accesses come from mobile devices or rss readers.
