I'll try to narrow it down for you.

A few brewpubs in the downtown area - Wynkoop, Breckenridge, Sandlot (Coors owned, but good if you like German styles - only open during the baseball season), Flying Dog, and even the Rock Bottom are good. All within walking distance too.

Falling Rock for one of best beer bars in the country.

A "tour" (its only like one or two rooms) of Great Divide brewery is worthwhile.

I've heard good things about the Bull and Bush but have never been myself.

Not to criticize their beer per se, but I don't think I would include Rock Bottom on any visitor's list of brewpubs to visit, as there is at least one in almost every major city in the US. There's even one in the MSP airport!

I concur on this list and if you make it to Wynkoop and they have the Green Chile Beer on the menu absolutely try it. I was hesitant even though I love green chile but this was absolutely fantastic.

The other poster that mentioned Rock Bottom is correct that they are in many cities now but the recipes are slightly different at each of them and they are based in Louisville, CO so it is a local brewery.

The brewer at each location has some leeway in how they make the regulars as long as it conforms to the basic standards set by corporate. But I believe they have free reign on anything else they make. So, not every Rock Bottom is the same and some are better than others. The Denver location is one of the better ones.

Hell, I think the Denver RB makes better/more interesting beer than the Wynkoop. Someone had to say it.

Don't miss Great Divide. They have a fun, small tasting room and their beers are fantastic. My favorite was their Hercules Double IPA, but I enjoyed pretty much everything I tasted.
