Gas Lamp in Long Beach?
Just curious about this place - has anyone been there? Is it a restaurant or more of a night club or? We tend to eat early and usually see very few cars there (we eat at Enrique's across the street every couple of months).
How "dressed up" should guests be (and does it attract a certain clientele only?); what is the quality of the food, service? Price range?
So you're the one making me wait outside for a table at Enrique's, eh? :)
While I haven't eaten at the Gas Lamp it's the sort of establishment that's a restaurant that becomes a bar/club in the evenings - seemingly a popular one, according to
Well Muncher, the last time we went, there were 45 minutes worth of folks ahead of us! . . . my husband gets growl-y if I mention going to Enrique's after 5 p.m. It was a Sunday and still there was a waiting line. But those folks at Enrique's are pretty savy about the time - they said the wait would be 45 minutes and they were just about right. I wish they had gotten the corner location - I never see a line for that Italian place at the corner and it seems to have a lot more room. We tried it once and it was just okay. For Italian we like Davios in Huntington Beach.
