See pic below.

Any one seen one of these in the wild here in LA?

Thanks.

  1. Not sure if it's quite exactly the same sort of thing (so this might be irrelevant), but you can sometimes find packets of powdered drinkable peanut-flavored "cereal" in 99 ranch. It's a blend of powdered milk, very fine grain of some sort (maybe pulverized oatmeal?), peanuts, vitamins, etc., which you blend with water and drink. I'm not sure I've seen peanut flavor for a while, but usually I buy the plain, so I might just not have been looking.

Yeah, I've seen those. Ovaltine on steroids.

This Liquid Cereal is basically liquid milk with cereal bits in it -- it's supposed to be like the bottom of your cereal bowl where all the bits and pieces of broken cereal have gathered and soaked up all that sugared milk. Yum.

Oh, then maybe they're quite similar, in the end! (Canned milk drinks are just reconstituted from solids anyway, right?) I always found the from-powdered one a bit awkward to drink, since all the bits of soggy cereal settle out of the milk and you kind of need a spoon for it but not really... Not sure I'd want to try to drink it out of a can that way--not in public, anyways :)

    2. Last time I was at the 168 Market (Valley & New) they had a selection of drinks that I couldn't wrap my head around. I didn't see that can there, but there were beverages with grains and now that I see this can, it makes me think those may have been similar.

      1. The company doesn't make it anymore... and it's not on ebay either...

Yes, I am aware that they have been discontinued.

I only ask because I found some NOS of these Liquid Cereal drinks during my travels in the midwest.

I was hoping maybe someone spotted a can or two at a local Big Lots or 99 Cents Only store ...
