Late dinner near the Forum?

hungry_hippo Oct 22, 2007 12:33 PM

Going to a concert at the Forum tomorrow night...planning to grab dinner after show. Any kind of food is okay. Anyone know the area? Thanks in advance!

What time does Pann's close? That's not too far away from the Forum.

I'm jealous... Interpol supposedly puts on a great show.

Porky's BBQ is on Manchester just west of the Forum, and the restaurant is well-lit, seems safe, and has a drive-thru, but it is only open until 10 on weeknights and 11 on weekends. Consider it for before the show. Good ribs, tasty sauce, they serve Golden Bird fried chicken, and their pulled pork is the best I've ever had in L.A. by far.

I'm not aware of any good restaurants near the Forum open "late." Besides Porky's (I've eaten there several times), I was told Bourbon Street near the Forum has a pretty good gumbo. I ate at a place called the Gumbo Shack on Market Street when I was doing jury duty in Inglewood this year. I thought it was pretty good and mentioned it to an Inglewood resident and she claims Bourbon Street was definitely better. I haven't been there yet and it's only open until 8pm during the week and until 10pm on Friday/Saturday. http://www.bourbonstfish.com/index.html

Coley's, a pretty good Jamaican restaurant is near the Forum. They are at 300 E. Florence, just east of LaBrea in the front of a strip mall.
