Need Dinner Rec near Marriott in Des Moines

I'll be staying at the Marriott in downtown Des Moines (Grand Ave & 7th St) and need a dinner rec for Sunday and Monday nights. The catch is that they will have to be within +/- 5-6 blocks walk from the hotel. I know about Centro and 43 (Hotel Ft. Des Moines). Anything except seafood will work.

Try Azalea which should be about five blocks from the Marriott. It opened about six months ago and appears to be a great addition to the downtown dining scene. It is in the same building as Zen.

Azalea looks nice and is close enough to the Marriott, but alas, it is closed on Sunday.

Try it on Monday. On Sunday night your option may be Centro. On Sundays if you bring your own wine there is no cork fee.

If very pricey is okay 801 Chophouse is open Sunday evening.

I'd wander towards Court Avenue. There's a few interesting places over there. Royal Mile (English style pub) on 4th, just north of Court. Hessenhaus (German beer hall) just south of court, Buzzard Billy's (Cajun) on Court, plus other choices. I know some are open on Sundays but couldn't tell which ones off hand. There's also a new Mexican place with lots of potential (Dos Rios) but my first visit sadly didn't impress me much.

You'll only be two blocks away from South Union Bread. I've heard some very good things about it. Zen is also a short walk and they have good sushi.
