Just Cook This on Discovery Health
Man, this show is good. The guy (Sam the Cooking Guy) over does it a bit with the gestures and "crazyness" but overall, I am digging this show. I think it will only get better once he settles in and finds his groove.
The cooking is pretty basic but still some good ideas. Plus, I dig that he does it out of his house with his dogs and kids every where.
Anybody know the history on this guy?

I found him somewhat annnoying. And when he whipped up his "fake" brulee made with packaged vanilla pudding..I had to shut it off. I mean..come on!

he's from san diego [but i think he's originally canadian]. he holds small cooking classes in his house, and had a local cable show in s.d. that also aired in a few other cities...i guess it caught the attention of discovery health, and they picked it up but altered the format & put a healthy spin on his cooking now [it sure didn't used to be that way!]
he has a web site:
and i'm sure if you do a google search you can come up with a lot more info on him [i think i remember reading a profile on him in the san diego union tribune when i lived there - maybe about a year ago].
he is a lot of fun to watch...certainly much more so than the cookie-cutter robo-barbies and drones on tvfn.
plus, as a nutritionist, i appreciate his recipes much more now ;)
